Short film: The Waltz

"In 2014, I wrote a feature about a Chinese-American family dealing with a difficult family dynamic caused by hoarding inspired by my own experiences. To try and raise funding, I wrote a short, The Waltz and shot it as a proof of concept before I understood much about the industry. The short film did the rounds at the festival circuit, winning a handful of awards but the feature ultimately didn't go anywhere.
Recently, Cup of Tea Critiques, found and reviewed my short (they also pair teas with the film), which made me revisit this past project. Looking back, I've come a long way as a writer and director and I also have a long way to go!"
